Liberty University Publishes 2026 Graduate Outcomes for Its Online Cohorts

Liberty University has published graduate outcomes for its 2026 online cohorts. The report covers what graduates did within a year of finishing: promotion in the same organisation, a move to a more senior role elsewhere, a career change, further study, or founding or growing an enterprise.

Across taught master's and MBA graduates, the largest single group reported a promotion or expanded remit with their existing employer, consistent with a student body that is employed while studying. A smaller group moved organisations, and a further group used the degree to change field. Doctoral graduates split between continued senior practice and research or teaching roles.

The report is candid about completion. Online part-time study has a lower completion rate than full-time residential study, and Liberty University's is in line with the sector for that mode. The factors that most improve completion, the report says, are a realistic study plan agreed at admission, early use of the writing centre and library, and taking a planned interruption rather than disappearing when life gets hard.

"We would rather a student pause for a term and come back than push through a crisis and fail," said the Dean of Students. "The data is clear that a planned interruption protects completion."

The careers service is highlighted as an under-used resource: graduates who used it to translate a capstone into evidence for a promotion case reported stronger outcomes than those who did not.

Samuel Adeyemi, promoted after reframing his capstone as a board paper, is quoted in the report: "The degree was the substance. The careers session was how I showed it."

Staff across admissions, registry, teaching and student services are told to design every process as if the default student is studying after a full day's work: recorded sessions, published rubrics, named advisers, and a library desk that does not close at the end of one country's office hours.
